Press-release: Successful kick-off of Oxfam operations in Brynania

It has only been a month since Oxfam arrived in Brynania and the organization has already started its mission of providing humanitarian relief to the vulnerable and suffering populations affected by the conflict in Brynania.

Oxfam has established its office in Hamraville where the field staff is taking care of the operations on the ground. Infrastructures are currently being built in two very strategic locations in Brynania and will be operating starting at the beginning of next month. A first relief station will be deployed in Mcgilldishu, one of the countries main cities which has seen an increase in ceasefire violations in the last few days. Oxfam will be present to address humanitarian needs in this critical area. Another relief station will be integrated in refuge Camp 8 near Hamraville to serve more than 80,000 people in serious need.

Despite these first achievements, Oxfam is seeking to multiply its operations in other provinces and cities. In the coming month, we will be expanding our mission to areas more severely affected by the conflict as well where relief efforts have been largely absent, such as the rural zones of the Alpha Province. Moreover, Oxfam will be reinforcing its presence in sites where it is already established with the objective of delivering aid to more than 50, 000 people in each station.

Oxfam is working in collaboration with other organizations on the ground to tilt this unstable situation in the direction of peace.
